Description

Cylindrical stone, round piercing in the centre. - Four persons. 1) Bearded figure in long robe reaching down to the feet to the left. The left arm bent, the forearm stretched diagonally upwards. Behind him, at the level of the head, a wedge-shaped sign with the tip pointing downwards, below it a staff ending in a short fork. 2) Standing man to the right in long robe, the left arm stretched diagonally downwards. From his feet a few carved signs. In front of his head a crescent moon bent upwards, around it small balls. Behind him two signs. 3) Man in short robe striding to the left. In his right hand a staff crowned by a crescent moon. 4) Standing naked goddess in full view, touching her breasts with both hands.
The seal is classified as karum period. Seals of this period are relatively rare compared to seals from other periods and periods. (AVS)
