In meticulously chiselled letters, the inscription is distributed across four lines with four letters each and scorings between them. The name of the deceased, Archio, is followed by that of her father, Agathokles, given in genitive. The form of gamma and sigma is a peculiarity of Archaic Melian inscriptions.
