Description

Two zoomorphic heads and another attachment in the form of a button or knob sit opposite each other on a circular bronze ring. The ring has a diameter of ... cm and a bar diameter of about ... mm. The appliqués were already applied during casting.

The two heads are curved on the inside and display two triangular lugs, each next to the apex. Below these, on one side, a broad, round plastic extension swings out, reminiscent of the nose section of a horse's head. The curved bridge upon which the head rests can thus easily be interpreted as a horse's neck with a highly stylized mane and ears erected at the top.

The head opposite resembles the first, but the outward-pointing extension is narrower. This does not affect its interpretation as another horse head.

Between the heads there is another bar in the middle of the ring that is wider than the attaching horse heads and on it, attached like a wide knob, sits a round bronze button.
