Türkise Einfärbung am Hammerkopf dient zur Kennzeichnung des Nutzers und Eigentümers.

Der Hammerkopf hat auf der Schlagseite eine sehr starke Gratbildung, die im ungünstigsten Fall zu erheblichen Verletzungen führen kann, wenn der Grat abplatzt.

Dieser Setzhammer dient in der Handschmiede zum teilen oder kennzeichnen der glühenden Werkstücke.
