Corinth was not only a leader in the production of vessel ceramics between 750 and 550 BC. From the 7th century BC onwards, these female board-like figures with plastic faces were produced in the workshops of the coroplasts. These statuettes became the model for the so called 'Brettidole', which became typical in Boeotia a little later. (AVS)
