Description

Front: Kopf des C. Iulius Caesar (Octavianus) nach r.
Rear: Siegesmal (tropaeum), auf dessen Basis sich Ruder und Anker kreuzen, darunter ein Schiffsbug (prora) nach r.
Punched: Intentinonally marked with a punch, both contemporary to the object and later. In contrast to a countermark of a much more simple design. Not to be confused with punches creating a postive image, which were used during the manufacture of a die.
