Description

Der Laternenfisch Sardinius cordieri Agassiz hat vermutlich in einigen Hundert Meter Wassertiefe in Schwärmen gelebt. Die ausgezeichnete Erhaltung ist der Einbettung durch eine untermeerische Schlammlawine (Trübestrom) zu verdanken.

Fundort: Baumberge b. Havixbeck, Kr. Coesfeld/Nordrhein-Westfalen
