Frauenstimmen und Klavier op. 74, MWV M 16....Partitur, 185 Seiten, deutsche Erstausgabe ....Die Schauspielmusik komponierte Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy im Auftrag des Königs Friedrich Wilhelm IV. von Preußen. Am 1. Dezember 1845 dirigierte Mendelssohn die Uraufführung im Schloss Charlottenburg vor dem König und dessen Gästen. Die erste öffentliche Aufführung fand am 8. Januar 1846 ebenfalls unter der Leitung des Komponisten im Stadttheater in Potsdam statt.
