Die Schreibkugel ist die erste in Kleinserie hergestellte Schreibmaschine der Welt. Sie wurde 1865 von dem dänischen Pastor und Taubstummenlehrer Hans Rasmus Johann Malling Hansen entwickelt. Ein prominenter Benutzer der Schreibkugel war übrigens der Philosoph Friedrich Nietzsche.
