Description

"Der Magische Stab (khatvanga) ist das Erkennungszeichen des im Tantra versierten Mönches und deutet den Besitz übernatürlicher Fähigkeiten (siddhi) an. Sein Sanskritname (wörtl. Bettpfosten), verrät, dass seine Urform kurz und keulenförmig war.... ". (nach Hans Wolfgang Schumann, Buddhistische Bilderwelt, Köln, 1986, S. 44; (dort auch mehr zu den Details am oberen Stabende).
