Description

Peltomorphites cf. hoplophorus (Buckman) gehört zur kleinen Gruppe der Großammoniten aus dem Jura (die meisten lebten in der Kreide). Er stammt aus den Oberen Heersum-Schichten, die zeitlich in die cordatum-Zone des oberen Unter-Oxfordium (Oberjura) zu stellen sind.
