Description

Petrus Martyr Vermigli, Büstenporträt nach rechts. Legende: "Pierre Martyr ou Pierre Vermilli,/ nâquit à Florence en 1500. Il fut Religieux/ Augustin à Fiesole[,] puis Abbé de Spole[to?]/ et Prieur de St. Fridian a Luques [S. Frediano in Lucca]. Il se | sauva à Strasbourg, ou il épousa une/ Fille de Mets [Metz]. Il se trouva au Colloque de/ Poissy, et mourut à Zurich en 1562“.
