Eine Frauengestalt in langem Kleid, einen Stock haltend, steht vor einer Waldlichtung, neben ihr eine Schafherde. Rechts von ihr sitzt Damon im Gras mit der linken Hand ihren Arm umgreifend und in der rechten seine Flöte haltend. Am linken Bildrand sitzt ein Putto in einem Baum.
Bezeichnet: Unter der Darstelung links "H Ramberg. fecit", verso in Bleistift "Goethe, Ged. die [unleserlich] / Minerva 1822".
